R.I.P Mitch Lucker, lead singer of deathcore band, Suicide Silence.
Lead singer of heavy metal band Suicide Silence, Mitch Lucker, died of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, November 1st, in Huntington Beach, California.
28 year old Lucker was on a new Harley Davidson motorcycle on Halloween night when he lost control of the bike and crashed into a light pole according to the local police department.
He later died in the University of California, Irvine Medial Center. Investigators of the case said they were looking into the cause of the collision and whether or not alcohol was a big factor in the accident.
On Facebook, the band posted, “There’s no easy way to say this, Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident.”
Fans were devastated by the news and have written such comments like “
I hope by the time i die I’ve made even a quarter of the impact Mitch Lucker did on Music,” and “R.I.P.Mitch Lucker, for everything great that you are, were, and always will be to the tons of people who cared about you and supported you.”
The Southern California band, Suicide Silence came out in 2007 with the album “The Cleansing” and followed that up with the 2009 “No Time to Bleed” and also won the 2009 Golden Gods award for best new talent by Revolver magazine. Last year’s “The Black Crown,” became number 9 on the Billboard hard rock chart.
Eddie Van Halen was told he could be out of action for the next 4-6 months after undergoing an emergency surgery.
Lead guitarist of Van Halen has been suffering from a severe case of Diverticulitis for many years now. It’s a disease that effects the digestive system which can result in inflammation and infection of the colon.
The news spread after an announcement was made on the official Van Halen website that said: “Eddie Van Halen underwent an emergency surgery for a severe bout of Diverticulitis. No further surgeries are needed and a full recovery is expected within 4-6 months. Van Halen’s scheduled November 2012 tour of Japan is currently being rescheduled and the band looks forward to seeing and playing for their fans in 2013.”
The band had been scheduled to play three shows in Japan, beginning in Osaka on November 30 after returning earlier this year with their 12th studio album “A Different Kind Of Truth,” with the original singer David Lee Roth. It reached number two in the US and number six in the UK.
Hoping a speedy recovery to Eddie Van Halen from Disloud! x

The Lay-lows - Moving On from their new EP “Your Old Best Thing.”
INTRODUCING: THE LAY-LOWS.
Forming in their hometown, Cardiff back in early 2011, The Lay-lows are definitely one of the best local bands. The quad has worked and practiced hard to achieve what they have done today - already playing Cardiff’s Big Weekend and sharing the stage with Feeder and Athlete.
The group definitely has their own sound that is very unique and has taken inspiration from groups such as Thin Lizzy and Kings of Leon, they’re also influenced by the legend Johnny Cash.
The group have definitely done the Cardiff music industry well and has definitely done the Welsh proud by producing catchy lyrics, gripping guitar riffs and basslines and to top it off has a drumbeat that will get your head bobbing and your foot tapping.

What’s going on, Incubus?
August the sixth, Incubus announced that they would be going on a hiatus after their summer tour.
After a lengthy break during the 2006 album “Light Grenades,” and 2011 album “If Not Now, When?” the quintet then announced another hiatus.
When singer Brandon Boyd spoke to Billboard he talked of the plans after the summer tour with Linkin Park. "We have no plans, to tell you the truth, at the moment, I have been tinkering around, potentially, with a second solo record. That’s probably the most likely scenario. But as far as Incubus right now, we’ll probably take another break." and then continued to say: "Hopefully it won’t be as long as before, but what we’d like to do is arrive with the best of intentions and try to create music from a sense of urgency as well as purity and not necessarily based on a schedule. I know that can be frustrating for our listeners and stuff, but I think we’ll make better music as a result."
But, a day after the announcement Incubus’ manager denied that the band are planning on taking a hiatus.
Steve Rennie says that after touring for 18 months, the band just needs a break.
The manager told CBS Local: “Incubus has always taken a bit of a break after making an album and touring in support of it. After they finish the Honda Civic tour, they’ll have been on the road for a year and a half. Any band would need a break after that.”
He then added: “Let’s not get locked into the word ‘hiatus’. They just need to get rejuvenated and inspired to make their next album. Bands like Incubus don’t crank out music on a schedule. Taking time to work on other things only adds to what they can bring to the table when they regroup.
Blink 182 confirms that Travis Barker will be joining them in the 2013 Australia tour.
Blink 182 has been confirmed to play at the 2013 Soundwave Festival that takes place in Australia, but drummer Travis Barker told the trio that they would have to do it without him as he cannot face his phobia of flying after he was involved in the 2008 plane crash that took the life of one of his close friends.
Barker previously said: “It’s hard to say what the band could do or what its potential is, because I can’t really get everywhere.” But then quickly added that he hopes to overcome his fear for the sake of his children: “I’m contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia. I want to overcome that eventually. My kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it.”
The pop-punk trio has been confirmed that they will be all attending the festival after Soundwave Festival promoter A.J Maddah tweeted: “Mark+Tom+Travis. Yes Travis.”
Since Barker was involved in the plane crash he has attempted different types of therapy to overcome his fear of flying and hopefully he will be able to overcome his fear and begin a new journey and also allow the TRIO to play across the world.
Muse is.. dubstep?
Muse have unveiled their new dubstep-influenced track, “Unsustainable,” from their sixth album “The 2nd Law.”
"Unsustainable," is the second to be revealed from the album that’s due to be released on October 1st in the UK and October 2nd in the U.S.
The track was revealed on the 9th of August to fans that pre-ordered “The 2nd Law.” and in no time it was online to the public. Most of the track had already been featured in the trailer Muse released when they announced the upcoming album.
But how has the fans reacted? From YouTube comments people aren’t happy with the drastic change the band has made. Comments raging from “Wtf Muse? Where has your rock gone?” to “I respect them for trying something new, I just don’t care for it :/.” But there are people who has taken a liking to their new style of music.
The band formed in 1994 with a rock sound that’s captured the hearts of many and their previous album “Black holes and Revolutions,” that hit the shelves in 2006 gained the band a bigger following from fans and gained many more fans. The album contained catchy music and even the people that didn’t like the group found themselves singing along.
Muse has definitely taken a shot in the dark with “Unsustainable,” but is it a good change? You decide!
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here. Oh, no.. that’s not right.. Ed Sheeran - Wish you were here?!
Undoubtedly, Ed Sheeran is a great artist and can easily please the crowd but last night at the Olympic closing Ceremony, he took on a little too much.
He did give it his all but we all know that last night’s performance wasn’t going to get any better with anymore practice. Pink Floyd’s 1975 single “Wish you were here,” touched the hearts of people all across the UK when it was released and when it was rumored that Pink Floyd would be playing last night at the Olympic closing Ceremony, people got excited, but only to be disappointed.
Although Ed Sheeran easily covered the vocals, the guitar didn’t speak as it did in the original and there wasn’t that emotion that gave you the shiver-down-the-spine feeling that Gilmour gave us.
Although, taking on such a huge song is brave, especially in front of the whole nation and Sheeran clearly tried his best and made the song, (in some ways) his own by mellowing it down and giving it a certain Sheeran-feeling. His main purpose was to perform and last night he did playing alongside Richard Jones, Mike Rutherford and Nick Mason.
Another successful 12 song album to come from the political hating group The King Blues. After their previous album “Punk & Poetry,” The King Blues have to come together for one last album and tour before throwing in the towel.
They’re still the lovable, aggressive, politic hating band that we all fell in love with in 2006 with the release of “Under The Fog.” They still have the ability to surprise their fans whilst still keeping their catchy, mind blowing.
The album has experimented with rapping, collaborating with female singers, which does give the meaning of the songs such as “Wasted words,” and “This is my home,” a shiver-down-your-back feeling.
Questioning today’s society is what The King Blues does best, making their fans open their eyes. We all know what’s going on in the world but their one of the only bands that will speak their mind without giving a damn. Their a breath of fresh air with their truth speaking words, making men, woman, boys and girls feeling better with their lyrics and educating today’s society.
INTRODUCING: RYAN KEEN.
Ryan Keen is a singer/ songwriter from South Devon and is definitely a personal favorite. Spending the last two years touring the UK, sharing the stage with many artists such as Ed Sheeran and Jay Brannan, he’s given the audience something that they can never forget.
Picking up a guitar at the age of 8, Ryan has easily stood out of the crowd with his finger picking, guitar bashing music. He’s managed to wow the crowds and has managed to stick himself firmly into peoples heads with his rhythmic and catchy music.
With his release of the EP “Focus”, Ryan has had a very successful year with the single hitting radio stations with the likes of Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe who have both played the track several times. He’s also managed to get the track “Aiming for the sun” played on the well known show “Dynamo: Magician Impossible.”
Not convinced? Go ahead and listen to his songs, you’ll be singing them all day.
